Khao San Sek is Chef Pichaya "Pam" Soontornyanakij’s Thai restaurant in Song Wat, built around five ingredients that sit at the core of Thai cooking: rice, fish sauce, palm sugar, chili, and coconut. The menu keeps familiar Thai flavors in focus, then plays with how they’re put together, from smoked beef tongue satay and blue crab nam prik to grilled catfish with burnt palm glaze and lamb-rib massaman. Rice gets proper attention too, treated as part of the meal, not background filler. The drinks follow the same local thinking, with sato made from different rice varieties and other pours built around Thai ingredients and drinking traditions.
